Trip to the Children's Museum!!!!

Since Anne Marie and I both are down at least one, if not 2 kids during the day now, (Thank you Lord for school!) We have been trying to get together and do something at least once a week, to get out of the house and let the kids play together. We'd gotten together a few wks ago and went to the park, this week we decided to go to the Children's Museum on Tuesday.

So we took off for the museum and ate lunch there and then went down to the dinosphere. we made our way there through the lower level and then moved on up to the kids playscape area. After leaving playscape, we pretty much decided to call it a day, since all three were getting tired, being headstrong and beginning to not listen, so it was time to head home for naps and rests. :)

We came home from the museum and Anne Marie's girls were either out or just about out. Meaghan and I got home and sat down for a few and Meaghan conked out quickly. I wanted really bad to nap, but I worked on the Great Banquet bags until after Mike got home. We fixed leftover for dinner and headed to the Great Banquet Gathering where teams were commissioned in. :) Afterwards, it was pick up the kids, chat with a couple of people and then we headed home since the kids had had a long day, as well as Mike. Came home and everyone went to bed. :)

September 6th Soccer games....

We had our first games after the holiday break, and while the morning started a little cool, it warmed up pretty fast! We also had team pictures this morning, so Mike had to have one of the parents run the field for him as he was with the other team getting thier pictures done.

Something interesting with this though, which kind of confirmed what we'd suspected with Meaghan, is that she played her heart out while Mike wasn't on the field and not around. But as soon as he was back and running the fields, she began to balk and refuse to participate, thereby confirming that she needs to be on someone else's team, IF she is to play soccer again. ;)

Here's some pictures of the U4's (They are just too cute at this age!):

Labor Day

Oops, forgot to share this post first....

The kids played and I kept them out of Mike's way as he worked and painted the bathroom ceiling. The kids and I enjoyed a pretty relaxing day. :)

Emotional roller coaster of a week

After seeing Honey at the birthday gathering, emotionally, I was not in good shape. I was actually in quite down in the dumps. I was having problems sleeping at night and at the mere thought of Honey or discussion about something she did, would send me to tears.

I wound up posting an email to the GDF list that I am on and I got many responses back explaining that the emotions and roller coaster that I was on was completely normal with grieving the loss of a guide partner.

So with quite a few ups and downs, with time and the more I talked with people about it the easier it got, though it still does hurt.

Here's to praying that GDF will call sometime soon with a class date!

Honey post... at the annual O'Connor Gathering

At our request, Dan brought Honey to the birthday party. Honestly, it was really, really hard on me. I could tell she was confused to who she was supposed to go to and while she came to me several times, she went back to Dan, which is awesome, but honestly, it hurt.... BAD.

I did take a lot of pictures of her and them together while she was there. I also made up an album of the scrapbook pages I'd made up as well as compiled a dvd rom of all of the pictures I had of her that was in a pocket in the front of the album. Dan really seemed to enjoy it and here's some shots of them and of Honey by herself from that day.

And then like the wind, she was gone again...
