Day 14- Nov 10th

This morning we went out to the square that GDF has on campus and the trainers had set up different obstacles for the dogs to work around on and off the curbs.  Boomer worked through these beautifully.

Boomer stops for a wooden scaffold blockade on the sidewalk and I move forward to investigate what it is.

Boomer takes me to the curb to go around the orange barrel blockade on the sidewalk.  He has stopped at the curb for me to investigate and give him the command to go forward.

After lunch, we took Boomer out to free run in the enclosed fenced in area.  Just so happened that Favor and Ricky were out on the other side of the fence for a few minutes too. :)  We practiced recall several times using the whistle that we use at feeding time.  We call them and blow the whistle 3 short blasts like we do when we feed them and then we praise and release them to play again.
Photos below are of boomer around the fenced enclosure.  The last one is a video of Boomer rolling on his back in the leave- which he still does nearly every day- rolling on his back with his feet flailing in the air.

After Boomer had run to his heart's content, we came in and I took a much needed and long 3 hour nap before dinner!
