Day 17- Nov 13th

All day trip to Flushing- Queens NY today.  We packed up again in the bus and vans to drive into the city.  Wow seeing the traffic and all the people was something else.  We parked in a lot that was full of vehicles and Barb was able to get us into a corner to give us an open area that we could pull chairs out and sit while teams were working through the routes.

Boomer did a really good job as we worked through the throngs of people and navigated a 5 way intersection full of people, cars, and honking everywhere.

We started with learning to work through a revolving door- which I really do NOT like so avoid as much as possible.

Kacie concentrating on working Boomer through the revolving door to make sure nose and tail are both safe!

Kacie and Boomer standing along the platform, waiting for the doors to open on the subway to board.

Kacie and Boomer walking away from the camera and through the crowd that had thinned a bit at this point.

Kacie giving Boomer the forward command as Boomer's body is in a weird position as we had made a turn and he was looking at something happening across the street.

Kacie and Boomer working through scaffolding overheads down the sidewalk back towards the bus.  It was here that Barb stopped me and taught me how to use the harness to steady Boomer and slow him down a bit.  He was pulling pretty hard at this point.

Kacie and Boomer under the scaffolding still and walking away from the camera.

We finished our walks and made the hour and a half long drive back to the GDF.  We had dinner and everyone headed to bed pretty early that evening.
