Sunday-
We got up and went to church service. The people of Erin's church, are sooooo warm and welcoming even though I had Rei with me. After the sermon, a group of the younger people all went to Cracker Barrel for lunch, which we were again asked over and over about the dogs. Erin had Ben with her this time.
After lunch, Erin's sister, Kristen rode with us to go to downtown Knoxville to the Children's hospital, to visit with one of the families from church, thier daughter has Cystic Fibrosis. She has to go in at least once a year (if not more) and have a surgery to scrape the lining of her lungs of all the build up that has formed. She enjoyed seeing the dogs and a couple of other people from church were there too so we all got to visit a little more one on one and talk about Rei and what she does for me and so forth. Kristen got to see too how Rei worked for me and it was so impressed.
We went back to the house and took all the dogs out to the field up the hill by Erin's parents house and let them all run. I actully got brave enough to let Rei loose so she could run as well, instead of a long flexi lead and she really enjoyed that.
We came back down and I took all the dogs inside and watered/fed them and Erin walked over to the church for choir practice.
At 6pm, walked over to the church for the evening service and immediately following the evening service, we went to one of the members of the congregation's home, with most of the other congregation too and everyone hung out, talked, one played the piano, one played the guitar, another sang, and a couple of families brought dishes, they ordered pizza. So everyone ate, hung out and had a good time.
We headed home since it was about 11:30 and turned in for the night.
Monday-
Got up and put stuff in the car and made the 1 1/2 hour drive back to Cookeville TN to meet my Aunt and Grandmother, stopping for lunch along the way.
Drove the 5 1/2 hrs back to IN and then home.
The kids were estactic to see us and Mike did well over the weekend. He did well with the house too, having it pretty well cleaned up by the time I got home. !
